Winter Fun

Light-Hanging, Holiday-Card Delivering, Ginger Bread House-Making, and Snow Tubing

SUMMARY:

This winter was filled with fun! From hanging lights to beautify AhlulBayt Center for Rabi' al-awwal to making gorgeous (and delicious!) ginger bread houses, ASA kept themselves busy during the coldest months of the year. The white lights hung by board members made the Center look and feel festive for the Prophet's birthday. In order to promote solidarity with the Worthington community and improve interfaith relationships, ASA members delivered holiday cards to the AhlulBayt Center's neighbors. While the weather turned colder, ASA turned to indoor warmth by holding a ginger bread-making contest. The contest consisted of three teams, where one team was chosen as the champions and everyone was awarded with the extra candies and goodies. As 2017 rolled in, ASA invited to community to bundle up and join them for a trip to Mad River Mountain, where they went snow tubing. A first for many, snow tubing proved to hold some fun times and great memories.
