The Halloween event was not in the celebration of Halloween as a religious or ideological event. This event was conducted with a light hearted feel enjoying the fall weather and the unique day of Halloween in the American Culture.

    The event was split into two parts. ASA juniors mostly consisting of elementary of lower age students watched the movie Transylvania 2. A kids friendly movie poking fun at the teenage rebellious attitude of kids against their parents.

    The other part visited a local Scarehouse called Scary torium. The adventure was insane. There were two sections one dedicated to the spooky witch crafts, jails and graveyards. The other was all about clowns and psychopaths. We had a blast, our president tripped and fell trying to run from a dangerous monster chasing her. It was absolutely hilarious realizing it was all fake but some of us got a scare of our life times.

    The event was a lot of fun. But, there was some controversy on putting it on Halloween day as it might promote Halloween as a part of Islam. In the future we will try to avoid this and move the event at another date when all these activities are still available but not on Halloween itself.
