This event was held on January 17th, 2015. The Banquet Dinner of 2015 was our first largest Fundraising event. The speculation was that we would get a max audience of 50 people but just in case we booked for 100 people. By the end of the night we had over 100 people and some had to borrow seats from neighboring halls since our capacity was at its limit. The group was able to fundraise around $7000 this night. The event overall was a great success coupled with intriguing speeches from Dr. Mehardad and a beautiful nasheed.

The event started at 7 PM but the preparations began 2 hours before. The group gathered in the main hall and proceeded to layout tables chairs and decorate the hall from a barren playground to a beautiful orchard. After the decorations were complete, the red velvet table cloths set into place, the participates broke into groups. The various groups were assigned tasks ranging from welcoming audience at the entrance to arranging and serving food. After the main logistics had been finalized some practice time was left before the audience started arriving.

As the audience started to enter our President Tahreem and other board members welcomes them at the entrance, guided them to their respective table. The event began with our charismatic emcee Muhammad Shao calling upon the beautiful quran reciter Kazim Jafri. Who proceeded to recite a beautiful Surah in Arabic and the translation provided by Kumail Hussein.

After the Tilawah, we were blessed to listen to a beautiful nasheed in Urdu by Fusi Ur Rehamn. Followed by the introduction of our guest of honor Dr Ala Hamoudi by Falak Zahra. The program continued to give us a glimpse of ASA this past year, laying out the new year plans, announcing the new board and assigning the advisory roles.

The event concluded with a fundraising conducted by Yusra Shao. We were able to obtain $7000 from our generous donors of our community.

Dinner followed, a delicious meal of hot luxurious spaghetti with a beautiful and delicious Marinara sauce. Lastly Dr Ala cut the cake in celebration of Eid Milad Nabi and concluded the night.
