Volunteering at ViaQuest Hospice

February 24, 2018

As the first event of 2018, ASA decided to donate their time to help out at ViaQuest Hospice. Led by AhlulBayt community member, sister Eman Albash, ASA helped stuff folders and clean the area. While there, ASA learned more about hospice, a system set in place for those who are terminally ill. ViaQuest Hospice is an organization which aims to make the last days of a terminally ill patient as comfortable as possible while offering certain services and emotional support to the family, even after a loved one has passed away.

With the help of 12 ASA members and parents, the group totaled over 30 volunteer hours, organized rooms that were in need of spring cleaning, and stuffed enough folders for up to four months of new patient visits.
