SUMMARY:

    The Fundraising Brunch of 2016 was a new twist on our traditional banquet style fundraisers. We wanted to give the people a modern but at the same time entertaining event highlighting our achievements from the year.

    The Brunch was held in a large hall in the Lazelle Recreation Center. The board arrived early and decorated the entire scene. We had a delicious break fast ready of pancakes and coffee with various condiments such as strawberry sauces and maple sauce.

   As the guests started arriving they were seated and offered brunches. The event began as usual with a beautiful quran recitation. Then we had a intriguing play by the elementary kids. We spent many hours preparing the play and it was a joy to see everyone's eyes fixed in awe of this spectacular arrangement. 

​

    We wanted to keep the event light heart-ed and fun, so we had multiple games with kids and adults. The adults and kids both participated in the 3 legged race, egg on a stick and hoola hoop  competitions. Everyone was bursting with laughter, being entertainments by the goofiness the adults displayed and the joy kids were experiencing,

    At the end we held our fundraising and were successfully able to fund raise an amount of $4000 in pledges for the year of 2016-2017. This was obviously lower than last years and possibly not enough for the entire 2016-2017 year. But, as always we were in awe of the generosity some people display at our fundraisers consecutively. We are honored to have such a welcoming and supportive community. Thank you all for supporting ASA in 2016-2017.
